Sport Training

The Fit2Play® system is unique due to our holistic approach, meaning we train all components (Strength, Power, Speed, Agility, Conditioning, Balance, Quickness, Flexibility … and emphasize RECOVERY) with all athletes.

We do not offer speed only programs; the needs of each athlete are addressed individually and we don’t know what that is till they’re in front of us and then we can program per their needs and goals.

Our goal is to help develop and increase the productivity and longevity of our athletes by keeping them healthy and minimizing injury.  To do this, we must make sure they are free of imbalances, pain and groove the proper movement patterns as well as have an understanding that recovery can be just as important as the training itself.

Physical Preparation and long-term athletic development is what we preach, teach and experience with our athletes and we get there by first focusing on the basic fundamentals of movement and then specific training culminating in an athlete that is Fit2Play®.

If the athlete can’t perform a few perfect push-ups, why would we be concerned about how much he or she could bench press?  Same goes for the squat, deadlift, or any other push, press or pulling exercise … let’s make sure we have efficient movement before loading a bar your back.

All of our athletes have their own goals and some with specific needs that are addressed in every session. A result of this development is that our athletes are stronger, more explosive and  have quicker changes in direction and can accelerate past opponents on any court or field.

Team Training

Team Coaching

The Fit2Play Team Coaching program offers high school and college athletes a unique approach with more than 20 years of success on and off the field. We use a holistic approach–meaning we look at all components of training instead of focusing only on speed or endurance.

Injury and Overuse Prevention

Over the years, we have seen a “one dimensional” approach to athletic training which can cause overuse that may result in injuries … Hell Week is a great example of this.

Fit2Play Frees the Coaches to Coach

When coaches bring in Fit2Play, they can do what they do best, and that is coaching, and we take care of the strength, conditioning and overall fitness for the athletes. We break down the strength and conditioning program and simplify the entire process for the coach and the team.

Start with The Essentials

We start with The Essentials which lays the foundation, not only pre-season, but for the competitive season and into off-season preparation for the next year.

Take it to the Next Level

Equally important is physical preparing our athletes for the next level — college. Freshmen are reporting to college not physically prepared – the fix is simple with the right plan.

Work with Fit2Play

Many of our athletes, parents and coaches have asked what we do differently and how is it that the Fit2Play athletes show up and out perform upperclassmen … we individualize training, we keep it simple and emphasize proficiency in the fundamentals.
